Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q. For which audiences are your training solutions appropriate?
A. Moldflow offers a full suite of training for all audiences. Our core training is primarily instructor-led and can be delivered at your site or at a Moldflow facility. Moldflow End-User Training is a solution that combines ready-to-deliver classroom training materials and an expert instructor, both designed to meet your needs.

Q. Who can attend a Moldflow instructor-led course?
A. We currently offer a wide variety of courses for Moldflow customers. These classes are designed for users who want to expand the breadth of their knowledge, and are open to anyone who wishes to attend. Classes are delivered by instructors via the web, in our training facilities, as stand alone web based training, or at your site.

Q. Do students get hands-on practice in your classes?
A. Absolutely. Our small class sizes--about five people on average and up to 50% of the time students perform hands-on computer exercises--give our customers plenty of individual attention, as well as access to their own workstation in the classroom. Our courses are heavily practice-based. This means that our customers return to their jobs not only trained, but also experienced.

Q. What kind of background and preparation do your instructors have?
A. We believe that the success of our learning program starts with having the best instructors in the industry. Our instructors are functional experts, leaders in education theory, have plastic industry experience, and are thoroughly trained in Moldflow application functionality. Moldflow educators undergo intensive training before taking the reins on any new course.

Q. How can I enroll in Moldflow courses?
A. A. Just visit the Moldflow Training Calendar or the Moldflow Store to review course descriptions, pricing, and register for US based classes. Regional classes are listed in our local country web pages on www.moldflow.com. You can also contact training via email at training@moldflow.com.

Q. Can you tell me more about the Moldflow Certification Program?
A. The MPI certification program provides the opportunity for students of any MPI-e Standard, Moldflow Simulation Fundamentals or Moldflow Advanced Simulation or MPI-e Performance course to become Moldflow certified. After successfully completing the course, students will have the opportunity to take the exam consisting of both written and practical (hands-on computer) sections. Students that pass the exam will receive a certificate stating that they are "Moldflow Certified" for that level. The certification exams were designed with the input of Moldflow's global training staff. The exams are included in the current price of each training course. We also offer a program for companies that wish to become "Moldflow Certified". Click here to find out more.

Q. Where can I find descriptions of your courses or a course schedule?
A. Course descriptions can be found on the Moldflow Training Calendar or the Moldflow Store.

Q. Can you deliver courses at my site?
A. Yes. Onsite training offers a lot of advantages; we can focus on your specific environment, decrease your travel costs, and you can avoid the inconvenience of taking key people away from their offices for days at a time. Customized onsite training can be scheduled for groups. For further information, please contact Training Services Manager, Matt Jaworski, by phone at (814) 460-5097 or by email at training@moldflow.com.
