US AE Jeff Higgins' Tip - Did you know that Moldflow Design Link (MDL) 6.0 allows you to mesh simultaneously multi-components?
MDL 6.0 creates a Dual Domain or 3D mesh directly from the CAD geometry during import. The simultaneous meshing of the components at the time of import also increases the accuracy of the resultant model. Because multi-component models can be directly imported into MPI, modeling of cores, inserts and overmolding models are more accurate and the model preparation phase of an analysis is drastically reduced. Read more to learn how to speedup your model setup procedure.
Moldflow Announces the availability of Moldflow CAD Doctor 4.0
Dear Moldflow CAD Doctor User,
We are pleased to announce the release of Moldflow CAD Doctor™ 4.0, a powerful tool for checking, correcting, healing and simplifying solid surface models imported from popular 3D CAD/CAM systems in preparation for analysis using Moldflow Plastics Advisers® (MPA®) or Moldflow Plastics Insight® (MPI®) products.
Spain AE David Sabaté - Do you know how to import a material file in MPI?
Often analysts will receive files from our Moldflow Lab, a resin manufacturer or a colleague. Whatever is the case, it is important to know how to use the new material file in your simulations. Click read more to learn the different techniques that you can use.
