Justification
Having to convince your manager that you should attend
a user conference can be a challenge. We all know the benefits
associated with Moldflow's iMUG – outstanding technical
sessions, a chance to see scores of Moldflow Partner companies
and their products, and the networking that is such a vital
part of our careers.
But how do you convince your boss that the cost and the time
away from work will contribute to your career – and
to the success of your company? Here's a letter that can help

I respectfully request permission to attend the 2008 International
Moldflow User Group Conference. This event is hosted annually
by Moldflow and will provide me with the opportunity to:

with Moldflow users from around the world, learn the best
practices in plastics CAE & increase my productivity
- Advance
my Moldflow skills through product update training sessions
- Speak
directly with Moldflow product managers and software developers
to help drive future Moldflow product development
- See
the future of optimized manufacturing systems by Moldflow
and other leading companies
- Come
home with more knowledge and the confidence that we are
getting maximum value from our use of Moldflow products
The conference runs for 3 days - May 20-22, 2008 in Dearborn,
MI USA, and primarily consists of presentations from other
Moldflow users which often reveal how they use Moldflow to
solve some of their most challenging problems. There will
be presentations from Moldflow product marketing and development
managers detailing the latest features and enhancements available
in Moldflow products, as well as future development directions.
Members from Moldflow's senior management team will also be
present as they regard these events as the most important
ones they participate in for collecting customer feedback.
Finally, there will be opportunities to evaluate best-in-class
partner solutions that can also help increase our productivity.
I believe the benefits of attending this conference easily
outweigh the costs and the knowledge gained will help to ensure
that we continue to achieve success using Moldflow products.
